Our book" Spurensuche im Gottscheerland" is not based on our own scientific research about the former Gottscheerland, but mainly from personal contact with the land and the conditions and learned knowledge from the relevant literature. It is a deeply personal book, not without sympathy for the designated ethnic group. We, the authors of the book had to put stone by stone into a whole in a short time, at the risk that from another point of view the objectivity of the description is too little or not guaranteed. It is a book about "Gottschee" and the former "Gottscheer" from our point of view, for the most part described in verse and heroically, emphasizing that we tolerate any other point of view.

Unser Buch“ Spurensuche im Gottscheerland“ basiert nicht auf eigene wissenschaftliche Untersuchungen über das ehemalige Gottscheerland, sondern vorwiegend aus dem persönlichen Kontakt mit dem Land und den Gegebenheiten und dem angelernten Wissen aus der einschlägigen Literatur. Es ist ein zutiefst persönliches Buch, nicht ohne Sympathie für die bezeichnete Volksgruppe. Wir, die Verfasser des Buches mussten in kurzer Zeit Stein um Stein zu einem Ganzen fügen, auf die Gefahr hin, dass aus anderer Sichtweise die Objektivität der Beschreibung zu wenig oder nicht gewährleistet ist. Es ist ein Buch über „Gottschee“ und die ehemaligen „Gottscheer“ aus unserer Sicht, zum größten Teil in Versform und heroisch beschrieben, wobei wir betonen, dass wir jede andere Sichtweise tolerieren.
